they gave me pills to take. Ever since then, I have never had a hang over and my hair is growing back. Yes you bloody well have, and no it bloody well isn't. I'll get the kids to post a photo as proof. They gave me loads of pills to take too, and the last hangover I had put me in Carlisle Infirmary...

Glasgow Green to Dalmarnock was enough for me on a crappy Wednesday afternoon, although the river was so warm in those days that cold was seldom a problem. If you managed to fall in, you were an ambulance case, due to the filth that constituted The Clyde in the mid 70's, but it beat the alternative,...

That's easy too. You undress on the boat, wrap a towel round yourself, then apply the shampoo.Magna Carter wrote:OK.... so how do you get undressed without getting shampoo all over your clothes then?..... eh? ... eh?....
After the shower, you are unlikely to forget the towel.
This system gets better all the time.

Re: Potential moneymaking scheme for wannabee crofting tycoo
The mink, trout and rabbits all multiply in the usual way, of course Aye, well, maybe not as easy as you might think. A friend of mine tried a spot of rabbit-farming a few years ago. He invested in cages and a load of livestock, then discovered that he had a gay, or at least impotent, buck. No mult...

Shard: These guys knew exactly what they were doing, which was playing fast and loose with other people's money, and paying themselves huge salaries and bonuses for doing so. They've been caught out. Yes, but the bonuses have been paid, and they're not giving them back, caught or not. Jon Moulton's...

So if you use your own car for company business, how much can you charge them per mile for the use of it? Say I get a new car, the cost of which is covered by a negotiated salary hike, on which, obviously, I pay tax. I assume that all company miles then covered can be claimed as expenses. Correct or...

Not to worry - we had a nice pint in the Oyster, and a pleasant enough lunch in the Hoose Of The Troosers.Nick wrote: Sorry we missed you - we were in Inverness over the weekend.
Pint of stout in the Oyster called, "Old Tosser," it was my 49th birthday after all.

Out and About
Passed a very pleasant weekend at the Oyster Inn, Connel Ferry. On Saturday, went for a drive and found ourselves at Balvicar boatyard. Thought to have a look around to see who I bumped into but was persuaded otherwise and went off to have a right good laugh at C John Taylor's Temple Of Tat at Easda...

Me too. Quite a few names on the list that I recognise, I even got copied in to a grumpy reply from Claymore.

Yeah, but... If you set up the forum to show threads with latest posts, then when you post to your thread again, it will reappear at the top of everyone's pages, provided that they are set up like that, as I think most are. Thus, when Donald sticks something onto the Clymore Saga thread, everyone se...
