Don't leave a brand new camera lens on the garden table overnight in the pissing wet rain.

That sounds like sound advice....I wasn't thinking of doing this anyway but thank you for your consideration in what is obviously a time of great personal stress.

I was'nt sure whether to post that on the "Tips Forum" but felt guilty about robbing someone of a lavish prize, are'nt I considerate?

Excellent advice. I suppose the safe applies to hifi. But you've got me worried now about where I left that tuner...

If you left it in the bread bin it might now be a tuner sandwich.

No hectic. Just multi-tasking effectively.
Would it be ok to leave a fish eye lens out in the rain?

Apparently in these circumstances the misting on the inside of the lens can produce an extremely atmospheric and artistic effect reminiscent of....several pints of Old Peculiar..

That's not an effect I'd want to replicate or reminisce over. And it's "Old Peculier," not peculiAr. Horrible stuff.
Sorry for the pedantry.
