TCT refers to the Tennent Caledonian Trophy which Claymore was awarded by the CCC at the end of last season.

I had never really considered it before but I guess the thinking behind the Mid/AB relationship is that although a Mid is an officer he is often a newbie whereas an AB always has more experience.
