I was flying to Birmingham from GLA that morning, 0705 departure. We left at about 0930 eventually. The pilot had said we could not take off until wind had dropped below 65 mph.Clyde_Wanderer wrote:Guess there will be more snotty noases than standing pr**ks this week end then.
I was told the other day that during the last storm, the anomometer (spelling?)at glasgow airport read 120mph before it broke.
Anyone care to elaborate on this?
Apparently there were 5-7ft high waves within Rothesay dock.

Just back from checking how Silkie survived the last blast. Amazingly the sprayhood (more patches than a pirate convention) is still intact although I have now removed it. They make a far better job of shoring at MRC than Dunstaffnage.Nick wrote:.
