Nah. Brogues are strictly the province of the conservatory-owning classes.
I take it then that boat-sharing with tcm is out of the question? Admittedly it'd be a bit of a come-down for the Cruise Director to be crewing.

Cruising
My thoughts are still to participate in both of these prestigious events. With regard to the CC / 3NC / Delivery trip, I had thought of rendezvousing (sp?) at the bottom of Kintyre, say at Sanda? That would give me a few days before for Clyde cruising then a possible later rendezvous after going back outside Kintyre. If this makes sense, what date would be appropriate? (weather permitting, etc., etc.)

3 May
Apart fae the elections - speaking o which, while organisin masel a postal vote I've had a look at the new STV arrangements fur the coonsellers: Goad, it's richt complicated - an ah've fund an error in the arithmetic which I've pintit oot, no that that'll mak me verra popular...
Onywey, despite earlier assurances, it seems that a do, aifter a, yince again this year, hae a meetin in Lunnon on the 3rd. The guid news is it's in the mornin only, so a mid-evenin start frae Craobh is nae necessarily ruled oot.
So whare are we gaen, then?

Berths, weather & tides
Plenty spare berths so far (for both Cruises in my case).
Don't know about the weather...
I have a tide table. On Thu 3 May it's springs, with Oban HW at 1920 BST. That would also mean a SW bound tide on the Friday morning. Would a suitable rendezvous for the Thursday evening be the VBs at the L. Melfort Hotel?
