Round Mull Race on Saturday night, I used the Bunessan phone box to phone home to my nearest and dearest 'cos Richard Branson's mobile telephonic network doesn't reach the arse-side of Mull. Box said minimum charge 60p - a rip-off I thought but she is definitely worth that - so I followed the instructions - the box spat out the coins. I then stuck in my credit card and tried again, spoke to a non-english speaking operator who wanted all the card details and eventually had my chat.
My card has been charged £6 !!!!!

Re: Telephone Warning
Would have been cheaper to reverse the charges. Can you still do that?

Re: Telephone Warning
Indubitably you are correct and had I but known ...... but that is why I am warning yousyins. Absolutely no warning in a dilapidated, no door, sheep faeces strewn BT style box and instrument. Bit more - one of my crew also made a call, it rang and didn't get an answer - that is on her statement also at £6. Thieving scrotes!

Re: Telephone Warning
I can affirm that indeed Marisca entertained THREE wummin in the wilds of Mull. I even have photographic evidence!
In fact some of the moves pictured, though claimed to be crew instruction for sailing a yacht race look much more like a Strathspey, or perhaps it was a St Bernards Waltz.
But he did have assistance in this arduous task, in one other male member of the crew. (have to admire them, as the combined age of the 2 males was probably 1.5 x the sum of the ages of all the females!)

Re: Telephone Warning
Ignoring the diversions - the costs of the calls have now appeared on the statements. A mere £3.50 each has been debited/charged. Question is - can I be ersed to chase this?
