Westerly Falcon 34

Post by cpedw »

One careful owner; I can't vouch for the two previous owners. A seaworthy, roomy cruising yacht from 1986, set up for easy handling shorthanded.

£31,500 but looking for a quick sale so sensible offers will be considered carefully.

As above but the quick sale not having materialised, I have yielded to the forces of capitalism and reduced the starting point for haggling to £29,950. Don't be shy, make an offer.

Well nearly a year on and still, in spite of that ray of hope in August, not sold. So the asking price now is £23950, negotiable as they say.

There's also now a Feb 2017 survey and valuation (required for insurance) available to interested parties. Valuation is £27000.

All details and lots of pictures at http://www.boatshed.com/westerly_falcon ... 17004.html

How can you resist?

At last, she's sold. Clearly was overvalued by the previous owner.

You'll be glad. Did you get any feedback from the buyer. Had they seen her at the higher price? Were they new to the market? It only needs 1 interested party, but the question is how long do you hang on.

Is there a " We buy any boat " site? LoL

Ash
"This is a sailing Forum"
Albin Vega "Mistral" is now sold

I don't think he saw it previously. The day after it sold, I had an enquiry resulting from a postcard ad at Dunstaffnage (since removed) and the broker had 2 other interested people before the sale was completed. Having accepted a provisional offer, we were not allowed to gazump.

It's clear that either the market is picking up or I seriously overpriced it or perhaps a bit of both. Will I remember this lesson when the time comes to sell Dogdays?
