Re: where is this?
Beaks: bills on birds, judges, could even be a mouth?
Snacking: partaking of a small meal
Spurring: a bony protuberance, or the action of encouraging a horse to higher speed by digging in spiked heels by the rider.
From these I got Montrose basin with it's thousands of pink foot geese.

Re: where is this?
Montrose is a fairly small town so quite a precise suggestion. How small and precise a location are we striving for here?Ghillie wrote:Afraid not.

I'm quite enjoying this new, cryptic and non-visual version of 'whereisit?' but we may need a little more help.

Very small, a 3m square in plan and very precise, unique indeed on this planet.
If I see you there, I will stand you a drink.
The second line above won't help you much but the first might.
Stronger clue tomorrow....if needed.

A novel and I think brilliant idea. Not sure if there are any maritime applications though. You could identify the front end of the boat from the back if it was stationary.
