They Welsh

Post by claymore »

Should our fine team play as well today as they did last week, I think they Welsh will find themselves hard pressed to record a victory.

On the odd occasions when I am racing my boat, it is absolutely forbidden to comment on how well we are doing vis a vis the competition. Comments on how badly we are doing, hopefully with suggestions on what to do about it, are welcome and encouraged but positive comparisons are regarded as bad karma.

Oh buggeroo, defeat from the jaws of victory.
Wouldn't like to be Finn Russell when Big Vern gets hold of him.

Don't try to shift the blame. You know it was your fault!

Yes - I accept that but in my defence, I don't know how to delete a post.
Anyway, Andrew Cotter's commentary was as gifted as ever. I wonder if he is Vern's lovechild with Jill Douglas....

But I found myself shouting (again) at the whiny wee welsh git who always knows what they should have done and why the referee was wrong. Why can't he just commentate on the game?

+1.... and I am most confused by all these new rules. Bring back the days when we had to kick the ball before picking it up.

Not quite, but rules seemed to last longer in those days.
