Re: Bah Humbug
Merry Christmas to one and all.
No more driving today, so having my first drink.
Dinner should be ready in about an hour.
Posted from my Hudl 2 that Santa was kind enough to leave.
Will be looking for advice on marine chart packages before the season starts.

Re: Bah Humbug
bah humbug indeed - now 04:00 boxing day and 72 hours into the second bout of flu in my life. Imo everyone should be given the flu jab so the fekker has no hosts to live on and dies a horrible death. Turned 60 this year and was offered a jab, made an appointment but cancelled it - what an idiot I was. Just goes to reconfirm my belief from the last time when my wife and I had it (again over Christmas) that anyone who says they have a touch of flu has never had it. There is no such thing as a touch - it is the proverbial ten rounds with Mike Tyson.
Peace & goodwill to all with the exception of the virus.

Thank you for your kind wishes sir - there was no way my wife and I were having anything, it or otherwise, that horrific Christmas 20 odd years ago

Joy of joys, just woken on fifth morning and feel a bit better
The reason for this post is to suggest that everyone should try to get the flu jab. In my surgery it is offered this year to all over 60 but not sure if that is national policy. If not, then get it done privately, it cannot cost too much. The strain incaugh was truly horrific, I have been ill a few times in the past; 4 days holed up with swmbo (no comments pls, Claymore
) in the Windsor hotel in Cairo with near dysentery 30 years ago. Hepatitis A (also caught in Egypt), 1 x novovirus and one bout of flu but nothing comes close to this. 72/96 hours of awful hell.
Get the jab

Listen, I think we need some perspective here. I'm spending 3 weeks in Daneland at the Daughters house - personally, I'm longing for some illness to strike me down and precipitate an early repatriationStoryline wrote:Joy of joys, just woken on fifth morning and feel a bit better![]()

Re: Bah Humbug
Sorry to hear about the flu being so nasty.
Got my jag this year after a 'holiday' of a few years 'cos I felt rotten the last time.
This year it's BOGOF and I got a shingles shot as well. Sign of the times, the older you get, the more they bang into you.
Season's greeting to all our readers, by the way.
