That will free up a bit of my time.

Re: Looks like . . .
I think they've finally worked out that a bunch of rabid extreme right wing racially prejudiced global warming denying homophobic throwbacks and tits'nbum merchants aren't the sort of people IPC really want to give free airtime to.Silkie wrote:What's happening?

Re: Looks like . . .
There used to be always something interesting to read about but its become a bit stale now as have the other forums in TOP as well. This attitude is very much down to me as I have spent too much time on it. It is a wealth of information, no doubt, which is why I now tend to graze. I have also got fed up having my nationality insulted over and over again.
A colleague was telling me that his elderly father just moans and complains about the news he reads in his paper. His response to his Dad was that if it makes him so unhappy why does he read it? I am getting to the point where I don't really want to take part anymore, including the grazing. We shall see, there are some good characters and the odd gem of a thread which I feel makes it worth it.
It's not just TOP, it's quite a lot of things really - the news, work, politicians, war - I am losing interest big time. Take Mandela, I started to read an article and just thought, why, he is dead, I have got the gist of it, so what, South Africa is still a festering dump. Is it my stage in life, will I become that old curmudgeon complaining about every bit of news I read in my paper, unhappy with my lot. No way, I just have to realise that I need to move on! Bloody internet!

So what's happening? I thought the point of the Lounge was to keep the crap off the other forums, which it does with some success.Nick wrote:.

Well well, guess who it was who eventually tracked this down and reposted it?Nick wrote:(What's the betting 'Mountain' or some similar pseudonymous cyberjerk tracks this post down and copies it to a post in the Lounge within, say, an hour?)
Yes, it's everyone's favourite brain-dead throwback 'skipper stu' (yawn yawn)
I am sure he will now keep a screenshot of this on his computer for three years and post it whenever I post anything in the Lounge.
Keep an eye open for borders Admiral Silkie.

Anyway, it now looks as though they want to have me banned from YBW because of comments made in posts here.
