Whit
Had a chat with the main man last night. Well was grovelling slightly about another meet missed.
We are expecting to be around on the Monday (28th) in the vicintiy of Tarbert (L. Fyne) with Claymore heading towards the canal.

Going down South?
I heard you can get stuff in Scotland these days, no need to go down South any more . . .

The plan so far is as follows.
Claymore will leave Fleetwood on the morning tide on Saturday 26th May - the crew having assembled the evening before.
We will then take one of the following options - provided we are not facing a gale.
* IOM Sat, Portpatrick Sun, Clyde- Campbeltown or Tarbert Mon and go through the canal on the Tuesday
*Sail direct to Portpatrick so be there approx 18hrs after leaving fleetwood - then wait for the tide and leg it up to the Clyde by Sunday Evening.
* Sail non-stop tae the Clyde.
One consideration is that para sowed a few wild oats a few years ago on the IOM so it might be worth just checking out tae see if he's ony offspring daein weel wha' wid be of a mind tae tak us oot fer a bite an a beer.
* IOM Sat, Irish Coast Sun, Clyde Mon. Either way I'm hoping we will be in the Clyde on the Monday ready for going through the Canal on the Tuesday.
This would give the chents a chance to sample the fleshpots of Tarbert and or Cairbnbaan - see they pretty wee things at the Crinan Hotel and the be up tae Kilmelford by Wednesday at the latest where Dear Heart will be waiting in the Espace tae convey us all sooth.

Liverpool tides
Fortunately the 26th May is neaps so we can get out of Fleetwood at around 07:00.
10 hrs to IOM = 17:00 is and so a few scoops.
Depart Douglas around 07:00 to get to Point of Ayre at HW on the Sunday morning means we'd be into Portpatrick by lunchtime ish then take the evening tide possibly to Sanda if we didn't hit the drink - in which case we would be at Sanda/Campbeltown by Monday evening

Then again
Muzzy has said that if we play this smart we could be out of work by mid afternoon - (around 13:15) and we could have loaded the boat the day before so we could get the Friday evening tide, take Breakfast in Ramsey and pick up LJS if he has only managed to get to the IOM instead of Blackpool.
Proof - if ever proof were needed that I am talking to someone else.
Was that Donald Beaton the ex candidate for promotion to higher office?
