Burgee flown

Post by spuddy »

Thye Bluemoment burgee was flown at Pollensa in Mallorca
Image
But that could be anywhere so here's one showing a bit more landscape

After that it was two stops in Menorca. A terminal engine failure west of Corsica
Image
so a stop in Calvi
Image
An outboard got tied to the stern ladder with string and we then made it to Viareggio. Just under 500nM all told and quite a bit of stoicism in a 7 metre boat.

Top biscuit.

Nice blue skies Spuddy. Are you staying in Tuscany or heading further East?

Viareggio is a nice spot. Should get engine sorted there too, plenty boatyards.

Nice pics.

Ah, a bit more explanation. Not such an epic as some thought. The owner had bought the boat off ebay but knew nowt about sailing; it was in Pollensa, he was in Bologna; Arghiro knows the lad as well. After an appeal for help two of us said we'd have a look. So it was a delivery really from Mallorca to Italy. The credit for the inspired bodging goes to the other volunteer - Bernie B. Thanks for the comments.
