He is far too modest. Sights will be taken and reduced to ensure a safe journey too and from the pub on Wednesday. Jupiter is very convenien for an evening sight at the moment.

Woof, woof.

No, we will be precisely on time. We will however probably be in a pub three or four miles from the one we thought we were heading for.

When we eventually arrive at the 'chosen position' for the evening we will will demonstrate that we have learned the following:

Perpendicularity Error: The inability to remain standing upright. Common in public houses.
Index Error: The inability to select the correct word for any specified context.
Side Error: Sitting next to someone's least efficient ear.
Local Hour Angle: Explaining why one is late.
Sight Reduction: Failure of vision due to consumption of cheap alcohol.
Calculated Altitude: A finely judged air of superiority.
Intercept: Catching the person on their way to the bar to amend one's choice of refreshment.
'Towards' or 'Away': How one finds the Gents in an unfamiliar hostelry.

I've been doing astral navigation for some time - unfortunately it doesn't always work on the A62...
