Re: Fiddlers ferry (Widnes) to Porto Santo in a Vega
What a rude bunch you must think frequents this forum, not a single acknowledgement of your fine picture or ambitious venture.
So - Welcome on behalf of what is normally a friendly forum and good luck with your venture.
If I might offer a reason for the lack of uptake around here - the Webmaster, a poisoned wee dwarfie - the dark drumlin of Balvicar - has an Albin Vega.
He has undertaken some fine cruises that many a yachtsman in far bigger craft would never undertake. He has circumcised Ireland and has contracted Sores in the Azores, waiting for a fair wind.
However, His Webfeckness has now peaked in terms of cruising ambition and will be well hacked off that you are clearly Out-Vegaring him.
We all live in fear of a lack of connectivitiy so we normally just stay quiet if we recognise a post that is going to pee on the bonfire of the small grumpy one.
If you never hear from me again - I hope you will understand what he has done to me......

Sorry . . . I did have a look at your blog, but it stops in Viana de Castelo . . . I gather the boat is in the Canaries, and you are planning an Atlantic crossing?farmerboy wrote:May be of interest..... (or maybe not!)

Oh - so cold!
Has the giving hand of friendship withered?
Come on Nick - he's going to be going further than you - he's probably younger too and quite possibly better looking - lets face it, most of us are.
