This IS a portent! God's wrath shall moderate AFTER the 22 December 2012 CE.

Moderate God's are ok to get on with, it's the extremist God's that you need to watch out for.

Being somewhat pedantic (what on here!?) I don't find any mythical creatures (including anyone's gods) at all threatening. Their followers however are different kettle of fish, & many of them frighten me considerably!

On a sailing trip to Bangor twenty years ago I had the dubious pleasure of seeing Ian Paisley bawling and ranting on the steps of Belfast Town Hall (he was preaching, apparently) surrounded by a phalanx of tough thugs in ill-fitting suits and sunglasses. It remains the most threatening behaviour I have ever seen.

This thread puts me in mind of the dyslexic Vicar who spent his time wondering if there really was a Dog.

It's the do-gooders that I don't like. They seem to think they're better than me because they get all dressed up on a sunday morning to go to church.

Thank you for that one, I shall add it to my favourites. I am a great admirer of Ghandi.
