Sad news from Kip Marina

Post by Falkirkdan »

Very sad news from Kip. David Duffield the smiling face in the chandlers for more years than I remember, collapsed and died on Monday lunchtime. David was at work on Monday morning as usual.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him customers and colleagues. My thoughts are with his family.

Danny, thanks for letting us know - that's really sad. David was very definitely one of the good guys. A sad loss.

Blimey, that's horrible. Thoughts to his family.

He was always great with our kids when they dashed to the chandlers for their usual fix of cookies whenever we were there. And when it came to kit out the boat on our limited budget after we'd bought her, he was a genius for finding secondhand or ex-demo bargains for us to buy. He'll be sadly missed.

Also Hugh from MRS (Kip) passed away at xmas, you could'nt meet a nicer guy, he replaced all the rigging on Orla for us, could'nt have done more for us.....
