No Weather at Dunstaffnage
According to the SAMS automated weather station Dunstaffnage has had no rain or wind for days. Has someone erected a tent over it, or do you think the weather station could be broken?

Re: No Weather at Dunstaffnage

I know of one guy out on a mooring that uses the camera feature to check and see if his dingy is still attached to his boat, saves him from getting up from his computer and popping his head out for a look

Seems fine again now and there was certainly no shortage of weather in the intervening period.

The Dunstaffnage met station at SAMS is out of action at the moment. We are planning to replace it with one that is more robust and accurate than the present one in the near future.

Could you reposition the camera so that we can see all the boats on the moorings? Getting bored with the view of the fishing boat!
More seriously, thanks for setting up the weather page, your efforts are appreciated.

Re: No Weather at Dunstaffnage
No wind or precipitation records at present, but the temperature and pressure readings seem plausible. They will perhaps need to extend the lower limit of the pressure graph, however, since it has been off the scale since 4am today.

The SAMS weather station is producing wind data again which seem at least plausible from a distance. Perhaps someone close-by could comment on its accuracy.
