What do you think of the new SWIS web site?

Post by weatherman »

Hi Everyone,

The SWIS forecasts have been a real success and I thank you all for using them, promoting them and for spreading the word about them.

I told you that a new web site was being developed and I am delighted to announce that the Beta version of the site is now ready for testing. I’ve uploaded today’s forecasts to it and you can view them now at http://www.sailingweatherinformationservice.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The main development is that you can now view the forecasts via the website as well as in a PDF version, cutting down on bandwidth usage, especially when mobile.

Not everything is available on the new site yet, for example the day ratings, but these will be coming soon.

Please have a look and send your feedback to me at simon@weatherweb.net . It would be great to hear from you.

With best wishes,
Simon

Not a lot!

I'm sure the Solentians love it but it ain't exactly pertinent to those who sail oop north. I can see why it's called a Swizz.

The idea is that it will be extended around the country, but I cannot do that until I know the format is correct.

So, hang on in there.
