Would have loved to Dave, but Minnie Shard is staying with us for a few days, and if there's to be any sailing to be done, it will be out of Ardrossan.
Don't know what it's like over there, but, after such fine sunny weather, it's really turned miserable here. [envy]This will, no doubt, be of no interest to the skipper and crew of Fairwinds.[/envy]
WInd still in the SW though, no good for heading down to the Canaries in the manner to which we were led to believe we could expect to become accustomed.
[rant] Look, gonnae no' dae that. It's bad enough having to read the blog, without daily reports on how warm the bloody weather is. Thank you. [/rant]
However, shame about the wind direction. Nice place I take it. Must be a bit frustrating, although having sat out adverse northerlies for a week in Plockton this "summer", I find it hard to be genuinely sympathetic.
Have just had it confirmed that the mad Charlie Farlie of the revolving doors is flying out to Funchal on Monday, so our passage to the Canaries should be interesting . . .
I understands he is bringing a complete Whisky-Mac kit with him. Don't know if they'll let him take the Skippers through security though.
