A Malo 39 Freya of Cowes was destroyed by fire on the hard at Kip Marina on 31 Oct. She was a lovely boat and beautifully kept. http://www.inverclydenow.com/news-detail2.asp?ID=3561" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
She was laid up for the winter in the yard mast down, no electrics connected, gas off and batteries isolated. She was totally covered for protection. At this point in time the cause has not been revealed if a cause is known. It has said that fire came from inside.
My initial thought it had been vandal firework as she is right next to the wall on main road in to marina but a firework would have rolled off and anyway how many firework vandals are about at 7 in morning.
The loss to the owner will be like losing a close friend.

Re: Sad end to Yacht at Kip
Saw this in another place, desperately sad. Intruder aboard, I wonder?
