After last Friday's fiasco involving an out of order new member I have temporarily changed the signup procedure so that new members require manual approval by an admin. After a sensible interval has passed I will revert this to the previous method whereby an activation email was sent and the user activated their own account.
In the meantime I would ask new members to bear with us - the list of inactive users is checked every day, but it is possible that you may get deleted in amongst the currently large number of spam signups. If you have registered and not received an activation email within 48 hours please e-mail us and one of us will sort you out.
