I'm not at all musical. If you google 'free sheet celtic music for fiddle' then a number of sites come up

ok. Tho for birlin reels i am gonna have to transcribe it, then play it enough times (about 1,000 i usually reckon) so i don't need the music. I'm not gonna try doing the fancy fiangly bits, just the main reel which erm the player on silkie's ref whacks through in about twenty seconds.... budding musicians indeed!

I had a good search for sheet music for Birlin Reels but couldn't find anything free online.

Thanks fer the thread Silkie, just the sort of music I go for, and I was able to download into I tunes. Hope I'm not admitting doing something not right.

i think you are talking guitar, which might work except in this instance the fiddle has to carry the tune, actually hitting all those little notes and without the cheaty fret things to show where fingers go.

Anyway, i have managed to write out the music! But abridged so it will only take about two months to learn instead of being a lot better at playing, like wot the guy in the recording is.
