Temporary mooring

Post by ljs »

If I were to leave my boat in the Oban area for a few weeks in May, where would be the cheapest? Obviously swinging would be cheaper, but then I'd need access by train and or short taxi as well...

Would Tayvallich count as Oban area?

Maybe tho not sure about taxi cost from Oban. Any idea of mooring costs per week?

Well, it's my fathers mooring, so I would have to ask him. It's not been used for 2 years and the mooring association are keen to get their hands on it so he may be pleased to see a boat on it. I will see what he says.
Seminole.
Cheers Bob.

.
Might be able to get you a loan of a mooring here either in the Bay or in Clachan Sound - we have friends who have both. Don't worry about taxis - we will give you a lift. :tiphat:

Generous offers both and many thanks.
Better than previous plan which was to pick up a mooring at Kilmelford and tell the office I'd delivered Mr. Claymore's new boat (he'd upgraded) and just send the invoice to the usual address in Fleetwood..
