Hypothetical Question.....

Post by Pete Cooper »

If I had been storing an item in my garage for another forum member, how much would I charge him for this privilege?

Volume (in CCs) X Time (days) = number of monetary units.
Annoyance factor X AA2P (*) = value of monetary unit used.
* = apparent ability to pay

Second possible multiplier would be if the long-term contract was going to be jeapordised by initial greed....

I don't remember leaving anything in your care, did I?
http://trooncruisingclub.org/ 20' - 30' Berths available, Clyde.

Curses - the AA2P factor is high - the guy owns his own yacht ferchrissakes so must be worth a bob or too, but sadly the Annoyance Factor is zero bringing the total to - let me see - ooh buggah - it's zero. I'll buy a lottery ticket tonight then.

No you didn't leave anything in my care.

Is it not so that if it is left on your property and unclaimed for a period of 12mths that it becomes yours?
My dad came to own a nice car trailer this way, but he gave the guy the benifet of the doubt and left it 4 yrs before claiming it as his.
This (see pic) case of holding something as a lein for money owed is one of the sadest I have ever seen, as it has sat here for 20yrs and the farmer who is holding it wont sell it and recover his dosh, so it will rot and no one wins in the end.
I had made my interest in known to him, but he wont budge.

Eamonn
Have you tried upping the offer a bit, farmers are well known for being tough negotiators
