Agree- Excellent but

Why is there always a but in life.

The calender is sitting behind my short cut icons!

I've done some cut and paste so now I've got a patch of sky in the sea and a pretty ropey looking sky where I've hidden the origional calender.

This is only my second month of downloading the calender, so don't know how often it changes position.

Could the calender bit and strap line be on a second layer?

Should I learn how to rearrange my icons!

Re-arranging the icons is probably the easiest solution! I don't pay much attention to the calendar so tend to drag them out of the way of the subject. The calendar does change position to suit the image.

Contrary to popular myth Nick doesn't have to buy a new main every time Fairwinds appears in the pic.

Cheers Dave - managed to switch off the snap to grid feature for the desktop icons, so I now have the excellent picture - just as Nick intended !
but
messy icons
still
at least I can put the ones I use most in the best position.

Icon do it . . . so con yu

Post by Nick »

Ash,

Drag your icons to the least cluttered part of the picture and roughly group them as you would like then select 'line up icons'

You are not the first person to compalin about this, but the calendar is put where it shows up best on the picture without interfering with it - so it can't be in the same place every month. In any case, every pic is different, and you don't want to obscure the best bits with icons.

A monthly desktop reorganisation is good for the soul.
