It's not a Pilot Guide but...

Post by Mark »

Hi to all,

I've been meaning to make some online notes about a few places I've visited (and liked) for some time.

It's a long way from finished, needs a few corrections, more detail, more places & some copyright stuff removed but here it is:

http://fattie.freehostia.com/KnotPilot/

Some cunning snazzy indexing will be added when I get a moment.

Any thoughts?

.
Welcome to the Forum.

Knot Pilot looks like it has some interesting stuff. As you have no doubt noticed we have just started putting together something similar in the form of BlueMoment Boltholes , and if possible I would be interested in including one or two of your reports (with due credit and links to Knot Pilot of course).

There is also the excellent Penguin Boltholes available in PDF format.

One word of warning - if you use even tiny snippets of Admiralty charts the UKHO will hunt you down and shoot you like a rabid dog - they are insanely vigilant in their protection of their copyright and have had a go at me in the past just for using a faded out piece of an obsolete chart as a tiny background image on a web page.

No problem! I'm flattered.
