Picture re-sizing

Post by DaveS »

I recently signed up to SBC, and I notice that they have a rather neat feature on their forums whereby any large picture included in a post is automatically scaled down to fit. A header message is automatically added saying something like "Image reduced by 32%, click here to view full size."

This struck me as a really good idea, since it avoids the common annoyance of a big picture making a thread difficult to read. I know nothing about the mechanics of what is possible, or what is involved, but would suggest that if it could be done it would be a useful mod.

The lack of a prompt response from the ubersturmfuhrereditorundmoderatorgeneralen would suggest that you are discussing technology at a level somewhere above their capability.....

Can be done

Dave,

There are a couple of mods that will do this, but whether they work in all browsers or not I don't know.

I will look into it in more detail when I have some spare time - thanks for the info.

(Next big job is having a go at upgrading YotBlog to the latest version . . . )
