The pictures on FB show chain split cleanly through the weld on the link, in this case multiple links.… number of welds have failed on a <2 year old anchor chain. Manufacturing defects from a wonky batch of ISO certified chain.
A call to Gael Force Marine Inverness (where the chain was purchased) at 4pm Monday explaining the issue. Tuesday morning get a call saying their Quality team are on it both with their supplier and also they will contact all customers who bought from the same batch as I did.
… if you bought anchor chain from Gaelforce around October 2022, you may wish to give it close inspection!
