fresh blood

Post by little boy blue »

gc1 has voluntarily withdrawn from posting on ybw fora for a week. i am sure he will develop symptoms comensurate with that decision before the week is up. silkie recently congratulated this site on reaching 1k posts.
this posting rate could be far exceeded with the influx of some prolific posters.
do you think it would be a good time to try to get gc1 on a free transfer ?

I view this forum as a place of peace. I think that would soon be lost if that silly sod came along.

Good question LBB

Post by Silkie »

I'll need to think about that one.. hmm.. No.

Besides, I can think of a number of practical objections. There aren't enough numpties on here for him to enrage and, even if there were, Nick couldn't afford the bandwidth.

Ach, scottish excrement, you're right. Much nicer the four of having a quiet conversation here. And those lost moments are quite nice too; "Oh, look, Rip Van Winkle's found an old, but much loved, thread down the back of the sofa".

I'm not sure I take too kindly to our stand-in Moderator's tone. "There aren't enough numpties on here..."
So that means the wee papist thinks we're numpties but he'd like tae round up a few mair before yin eejit GC1 is allowed oan here.
Well, thats great...did we call him a numptie when he took his walk on the wet side? Did we laugh ( well in public at least?? ) Did we show him anything but grave concern?? Did we even keep the tricky issue of ra mobile awa' fae the radar o' Mrs Pape?
A'this - an Numpties is whit we is... Weel yer papalcy, jes take wan step tae ra wetside this year an see whit comes doon an yer holy wee sconse.
Numpties...Harrumph

Beg pardon your Claymoreness for a slip of the keyboard. What I meant to say was "There aren't any numpties on here.."

Fresh blood . . .

Perhaps by invitation only is a good idea.

BM had over 32,000 visitors in January - you'd think a few of them would have something to say.

Arse . . .

It's because it is by far the easiest place to find almost anything related to cruising under sail. It is the most comprehensive and best organised directory of its type on the web, which is why it comes up in the top ten for almost every Google sail cruising related query.

This is because it has had not hundreds but thousands of hours of work lavished on it.

In the meantime, several dozen wannabe sailing sites have come and gone, some still floating awash and almost invisible in the cyberseas like lost containers, others sunk without trace. BlueMoment tugs its forelock only to YBW and a few US sites.

Now someone argue with me, go on, I dare youse . . .
