Data Dongle Recommendation for Scotland’s West Coast

Post by BlowingOldBoots »

Hi,

I am interested in a cellular data dongle to be kept on the boat. It will be used as a Wi-fi hub on the boat for accessing the internet to watch films, weather forecasts, chart and tide data. Preference is for unlimited data, or easy top up by mobile phone.

Also looking for advise, in general on such devices as I have never used one, having used my phone in the past. Are data dongles lower cost per byte of data than a hot spot through a phone?

Thanks,

Alastair

I buy a 15 gig data sim for the Aye-pad from Vodaphone that is not time limited.
