CC - where are we up to???

Post by Nick »

What are the plans for the May cruise? What are the proposed dates?

The reason I ask is that I have been asked to run a course on the weekends of 16-18 May & 23-26 May

But if the CC is definitely on one of these weekends I will probably decline.

So what is the plan chaps??

The first weekend in May i.e. the second to the fifth is the one in my diary although a hard core may also sail in company on the following weekend. Boats so far:

Fairwinds
Shard
Avilion
Silkie

Blue Shift (if itinerary suits)
Sahona (if he doesn't go to Ireland)
Bejasus (in spirit only)

As well as the regular crews of the above, Claymore (although he has conspicuously failed to assume the mantle of Cruise Director) and Hazard (by proxy only) may also have expressed an interest.

Some may find this patronising and my sympathies are with them in terms of their needs to embrace adulthood and maturity.

I need evidence that we have other leaders here - people who can willingly take on the hallowed mantle of Cruise Director. It matters little that you make a hash of it - after all - I will prove a hard act to follow but I feel in terms of your personal development, I have to relinquish the post and give others the opportunity to shine.

My work is not done here - I intend to participate in the cruise and will be assessing candidates for their SVQ in Leadership in the face of adversity.

I hae spoken with he of the large ears and lovely wife with regard to suitable accommodation being provided for myself and I understand a tender document is to be circulated to see who offers the most attractive package.

Matt has posted on shufflecrumb - tempting one with offers of fast rides in new mercedeeeesses and he'll probably charter something - perhaps the Hebridean Princess - anyway I've alerted him to the fact that I shall be at Forton Service Station awaiting collection.
How do I break this to Noddy's mate?

Infairness to Silkie it was his crew who was not up to the task.(Need to keep my options open for future berths)

Although, we would not have witnessed the entertainment between the locals of Colonsay and certain members of the CC if we had continued on our planned passage!!!!!

You surely wouldn't inflict a long weekend aboard Silkie on your beloved? Sheesh. I'd heard that the age of Romance had passed but..
