This Summer......

Post by Aja »

Not long back from our summer hols. Had a great time, cruised with fellow forumites - though only managed a quick chat and wave to Sgeir and Madame Sgeir.

Here's where we managed to get to....

Rothesay; Ardrishaig; Croabh; Tobermory; Dumbuie (sp?); Canna; Barra; Vatersay*; Eriskay; Wizard Pool Loch Skipport; Loch Dunvegan; Portree; Plockton; Isle Oransay; Tobermory; Pullbhdoran (sp?); Tayvallich; Craighouse**; Loch Melfort Pier; Crinan; Loch Gair; Tarbert (LF); Kames.

* Managed to shake off Claymore at this point, can be a determined bu66er at times....

** Aborted round the Mull due to forecast last Thursday. Good decision - or what!

It did rain  - but mostly at night :) . Biggest waves off Ardnamurchan - whew! :o Wind F6-7 from the west for a couple of days throws up some awesome rollers... best bit was sliding sideaways down them... even better when we turned the corner....

Only saw a glimpse of a minke off Waternish, though plenty of basking sharks. Plenty of seabirds though.

Nothing broken on the boat so pleased about that. :D

Sounds like a great trip (especially after Vatersay) but that last sentence gives me the heebeegeebees! (sp?) I refer you to the last time I said that and what happened next time out.

Aw! Thanks for that.......

We'll be extra careful on friday when next down at the boat.

A cleaning weekend coming up. We just wanted home before we got drenched last weekend....

Sights you see sometimes..... please note my earring was pure brass....

Has Claymore lost his other drink? He looks a bit huffy.

Bladder problems. He doesn't like to talk about it.

my look was one purely of concern. Although the viewer cannot see it - lying in the sand to my starboard (right) side was Sheena, the worse for drink again.

Claymore
