Plane lasers

Post by jim.r »

Acshully I prefer balsa lasers to plane lasers bit lighter although they can get soggy and soft although saftie lasers are better for roll tacking.

I've done over 400 miles with various forumites this season and every trip a joyful experience - for me anyway!

Edit; I've just realised no-one has yet asked me back

Just another wonderful new experience.

I was amazed that three of us were affected within just a few minutes - or were you and Hywel just trying to make me feel better?

Yes..

but it doesn't seem relevant since Douglas probably ate more than the rest of us put together without ill effect.

Ahh.... that makes two of us then..... mind you after the last Cherbourg trip, I'm not suprised...... JHR threw tomato soup all over Stuges boat, and I just settled for throwing a winch handle over the side....

Thought she was lovely.... she was superb fun on the way back when we had plenty of surfing opportunity.... all fighting for the helm!...

Comfortable below.... felt solid.... liked the layout... sailed nicely....

We had a roughish passage on the way out and back, and not once did she feel pressed.....

You've got the 3 cabin haven't you?... how do you find the reduction in cockpit locker capacity?

definitely short on locker space but with a family of 3 girls we need the extra space below. We also lose a bit of galley space and have a smaller fridge. Tie the fenders on the back and put the dinghy across the coachroof. She sails wonderfully though.

Not sure who you were asking Jim so..

I thought GR was a lovely boat though you might have noticed I was more than a bit wary of helming her under sail! Sooo different to Silkie. I was only just starting to get the hang of it by the last day.
