SailRoom is a real puzzle for me . . . I know it is a brilliant idea, and I also know I can get something like this running in a week (that's all it took from deciding to do it and buying the software).
I know this is one of the very few internet/sailing areas not currently covered except by Ebay (in Automotive!!) and I know how busy Ebay is for sailing stuff.
I know I can undercut Ebay's prices and still have more money than sense . . . and I know I can solve any technical problems that arise when it all gets massive.
BUT - how do I get enough people using it?
Someone is going to have to start a sustainable thread on YBW, but it can't be me - too obvious . . .
(Keith - if you are reading this, why don't you do it??? - My real prize for the 1000 post thread . . .)
I presume you've already mentioned it on YBW? I'll have a wee search.
Havnae mentioned SailRoom as I thought it might be pulled - although Keith seems to be pretty easy-going I thought it would be best if someone else mentioned it first.
Send me your Hotmail e-mail again (to nickb@webcraft.co.uk) and I'll have your new BlueMoment address silkie@bluemoment.com set up to forward to in a a wee mini-jiffy.
If anyone else would like a BlueMoment address to forward to their existing e-mail account then let me know and I'll set one up.
Now - if someone could drop even a teensy mention of SailRoom on YBW it would be much appreciated. Doesn't really even have to be too positive - you know what they say about there being no such thing as bad publicity. I just want folk to go and have a look and know it's there.
Am about to sell an item!! Some lucky sod is about to get a set of new 6" ally cleats for £1.99
I`m a little puzzled by this site. The discussion above seems to indicate that Sailroom has been set up by you - Nick ( aka Webcraft etc Oban or thereby ). If that is correct why are the terms and conditions subject to English law and the jurisdiction of the English court system ?
