Cuan against the wind

Someone posted on this, but I inadvertently deleted it while clearing out spam, and I've been unable to recover it. Many apologies. Please re-post if still within useful time window.

From memory - someone asked whether it would be preferable to nip through Cuan when heading Oban -ish if it was blowing a bit from Easdale direction.
I think I said it might be be a bit lumpy at the exit but wouldn't last for long
Wully and several others agreed.
Someone probably suggested that I may have more experience and first hand knowledge that others and that my word ought to be trusted.
I still can't decide whether that was a veiled compliment, a veiled pop at me or just someone having fun.

Still undecided....
just saying...

Thanks for that. It appears I executed an entire thread rather than a single post
