When using the toolkit, I suggest banning the spammers first then deleting them - stops them signing up again with the same name, which I have noticed one or two doing. Takes a bit longer, but may save time in the long run.

Will introduce more antispam measures when we get back.

Still think the ultimate answer will have to be re-directing the sign-up emails with a sticky on the forum explaining the possible delay in receiving confirmation.

Colregs question

Post by DaveS »

I think that's a good idea. It doesn't even have to be a real question - I suspect anything sounding "boaty technical" to the uninitiated would discourage the spamming @rseholes.
