Anyone know anyone currently in the Carribean?

.
An old friend has had a stroke and had to leave his boat on anchor in Martinique - it urgently needs moved somewhere safer.

Dos anyone have any contacts over there who might be able to help?

Not sure where Matt is right now.

Am in touch with some folk from the Martinique Cruisers Information group on Facebook, and it is looking promising so far.

Well, the saga continues. I organised a skipper to move the boat but the engine overheated and he had to sail it in very light airs, never made the marina and left it on anchor again.

Tomorrow another crew are hopefully going to sail it to the marina entrance when friends of theirs with dinghies will help to berth it.

In May a crew may be required to sail it back to the Canaries.

The boat has been safely delivered from Anse d'Arlet to the marina at Marin, sailed all the way into a strong headwind and manoevered into her berth by people in dinghies. Sounds like the engine is pretty knackered, but otherwise the boat is safe.
