Does Forum 'Log out' automatically

I have 2 internet pages open, here and that other place, my usual practise so I can shuttle back and forth to check for new posts.

Tonight, for the first time that I've noticed, when I come back here I've been logged out.

Is this a new system to beat the bane of your life, the spammers.
