Weatherweb.TV Weekend Forecast Available Now

Post by weatherman »

Hi,

I’m experimenting with using Windows Media as a method for streaming the forecasts on Weatherweb.TV

As such I have released a new version of the Sailing Weekend Weather Forecast, but this is only available to those using Internet Explorer (at the moment).

If you have Explorer I’d like to know how this works for you, does it load more quickly and does it stream quicker than the flash files used previously?

The forecast is at http://www.weatherweb.net/tvweather/ind ... s/test.htm and I’d love your feedback to simon@weatherweb.net

Thanks again,
Simon

Simon,

it streamed plenty fast enough for me. I opened the page and started the video immediately, and it played without a break..

can't ask better than that!

Fine, started with a bit of button clicking but ok ...

Excellent ...

as you move thro' the day's forecast, could you include the date and time in the little box top left?

Simon,

I normally use BT Yahoo as my browser although I have Internet Explorer as well. IE tends to hang quite a lot and geves me a few problems, which is mainly why I use BT Yahoo.

Having said that, I've tried your forecast on IE and it went without a hitch.

Edit -
I've just tried it on BT Yahoo, and it works fine there as well. I think it loads much quicker that last week's forecast, and I must say that I think I preferred this one.

Simon, it loaded quickly and ran well for me using the AOL browser.
