North Weald tomorrow....

Post by FullCircle »

.. the annual trip to the boat jumble where we seriously consider buying rubbish, and then spend 10 minutes sucking breath, haggling, walking away, only to return 5 minutes later to find its sold. Damn.

He bought my old engine. Plus a dory and outboard before he got to me. Surprised he still had some change left for the jumble.

Ah, but the engine was for Vreny, and was pre paid, so only doing everyone a favour.
The Dory is now on ebay and has already met its reserve.....

I bought the obligatory pair of twenty quid sailing shoes, and some end-of-model-line Lewmar snatch blocks.
Also a couple of stout quarter fenders for Simons workboat
Oh yes, and a pair of anchoring gloves.

Phew.

But unfortunately the North Weald jumble is shrinking year on year, which is a shame.
