Why i didnt much use the sails on transat

Post by tcm »

A few people have asked me why i dint much use the sails on the transat, and that Nick bloke has even been jering me a bit about it, so i thought i oughta explain.

In actual fact we DID use the sails, once, but i had second thoughts and hastily pulled them down again. Hey, it's fair enough innit? The fact is that boats have far worse stability with them up, see. Also, sails cast a big shadow, make a horrid flapping noise and they are at much more risk of getting stolen once taken out of the zipped bag. Added to this there are health issue, possibly, with sails obviously catching any bugs that would otherwise float past in the breeze.

So I think that explains everything.
