Spade anchor, watermaker, Jordan drogue for sale

Post by PhilipL »

I am selling a boat in the Med and cleared most everything out of it. Thus I have a 20kg Spade anchor for sale. Good condition but a bit of rust on the point (they all have it). Current price is over £800, so £400?

I also took out a watermaker which I had put together (following almost exactly the Cruise RO model). This produced around 100l an hour and meant that we were independent and basically anchored out whenever we were in Greece in particular. Cruising was therefore very cheap! I took it out because it was home built and thought it might put some buyers off. It needs a bit of a tidy up. When I took it out the system was still producing the same level of purity as when it was put together. Two pressure vessels. I orginally ran this off a Honda generator but then moved over to an inverter. We could produce water whilst underway with engine or at anchor. Get in touch if you want more info. I can send pdfs. It is currently stored in parts ready for reassembly. Cost was over £3k. Looking for £1k.

I had intended to cross the Atlantic but a new partner meant the Med. An OceanBrake Jordan Series Drogue I bought was never therefore used. 107 cone. Includes bridle. Current price around £1100 I think. £600?

Central Edinburgh.

Interested in the JSD but I need to size it. Are the cones edges sealed with sewn tape or a hem stitched in?
What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!

The 107 cone JSD is suitable for my boat size and weight. The cone edge is a deal breaker as the unsealed cone edges have frayed after a single use, shredding the cone. The new designs have hems or tape to seal the edge. If still available, please advise. Thanks.
