Re: I was just wondering
I would be interested and would devise plans to attend if organised. I can’t sing, play a musical instrument or speak with a highland lilt, but I can consume alcohol in vast quantities, stand a round and cook curry. I am also fluent in talking shi’te, gibberish and irrelevance, often incessantly. Perfectly happy being ignored and don’t take umbrage at all. Can find my own way home and comfortable with turning up unannounced and meeting new people.
When and where is this cruise expected?

What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!

Re: I was just wondering
It moved from the early may bank holiday when we hit an iceberg attempting to break out of loch Melfort.
We moved it to the old Whit weekend. Whilst the climate proved more clement, the vision of Nick in a mankini put some of us into I/C in Oban general.
Now we are no longer workslaves, the world has become our Lobster.
I suppose what will now happen is there will be 10 suggestions proposed, nobody will be able to make the full trip ( Suggest 4 days)
Avilion will be in darkest Peru or fixing his plumbing in Cumbernauld. Shard will be knocking the 7 shades of Hades out of his Saxophone at the 2025 Acker Bilk lookalike competition ( A black lad won it last year)
Silkie is bound to be there for 8 days.
Nick - well hopefully he wont find out about it until 2 weeks after we are all home again.
Gardenshed has expressed interest. This means we will be on free pepsi for the duration. Para handy and Jimi have both dropped off the face of the planet.
Roberto the water walker has been distracted and seduced by foreign parts.
My pal Muzzy will be good - I still owe him £3 so he lives in the constant hope of reuniting with it and sticks limpet like to my every tack.
Marisca is another kettle of fish altogether, him being a bit racey an' all.
In short, your credentials appear impeccable and I'll just need to brush up on all that initiation cack.
You're welcome - most places do contactless now so that eases things a bit and prevents some of us having to subsidise the short arms and deep pockets brigade

Islay Festival is 22nd of May to Saturday the 30th May
Whitsun is 8 June
Usually I find the period between the last two weeks of April and first two weeks of May the weather is great on the West Coast.
I like the idea of the Islay Festival, but open to anything.
So, what is the vote for the Islay festival or alternative dates? Maybe if we can get a date settled on, then others will decide to join.

Start of the Islay festival clashes with Scottish Series (23-26th), which I'm currently planning to do

Re: I was just wondering
How about Friday 30 May to 02 June, the weekend after May spring bank holiday.
We could plan a wee cruise in company around some hostelries. I can host a Curry on my boat one evening.
