I just came across this drawing showing the clearance under the temporary platform at Connel Bridge, and the clearance when the platform is removed. There's a lot more space than the chart suggests.
Thanks are due to Alba Sailing at Dunstaffnage for making this available.

Re: Connel Bridge clearance
I've never really understood what all the fuss was about with clearance here
I've been though a number of times in my Kayak and a couple of times in my Avon Searider and never felt the need to duck.....

Blowing hoolie here today. There would be a risk of parachuting if you tried to remove the sails.

Re: Connel Bridge clearance
well - we made it after all.
Up Tuesday - lovely day as was Wednesday.
Sails off, running rigging all removed and brought home
Dinghy Home
Sprayhood home
Dodgers home
Greenhouse heaters on
booze locker invaded and emptied (Wully!!)
The problem now of course will agreeing with Dear Heart where I might store them all and remembering that place come the Spring.
Would anyone be in the market for a couple of tins of Heinz Tomato soup with a sell by date of 2009?

Put the soup in the food bank to support Lee Anderson's campaign to stop the needy spending money on phones and Sky TV.
