freeloading hitchhikers May2nd

Post by tcm »

Early on Friday 2nd May i will be departing central london enroute for Oban in Old Number VD54679. Of course, it would be ideal if this luxury tank could collect all and sundry from the various waypoints on the rapid journey north, namely oxfordish, forton services and even perhaps glasgie airport if LJS can tunnel his way out of the house again, but space is limited.

I could sensibly pick up 2 people really, and even then they will have to try and bring two more-crammable bags than the normal one giant kitbag cos the boot is small. Tho spose they will have a sort of spare seat to dump a bag on, so shouldn't be too bad. And there won't be any space for food shopping really, or not much.

So another vehicle is required. Is there anyone with a suitably roomy vehicle who could make the trip as well? I think this means the Espace, pehaps.

Oh, but of course there is oodles of room on the boat, depending on how shareable people feel. It says it can accomodate 8 without dismantling the saloon. Woohoo. I am away soonish but will take the fwd cabin.

Rest of yers can fight it out re cars and cabins or just collapse in the saloon and die of a combination of whisky poisoning and heat exaustion from the eberscratcher. I think claysie can be in charge in my absence as I am off to the carribee shortly and mite not be back for yonks. Or Para as he is senior (just). Or jamesie due to his extreme scottishness and actual relevant sailing qualifications. Or LJS is tallest and familiar with authority too. No shortage of leadership on this boat then. Sailbad and praps even stingo mite be coming too, dunno.

If you kept your finger on the automotive pulse instead of writing offensive material aimed at this site then you would realise that the Espace and I parted company some time ago.
Anyway - reading between the lines I don't feel welcome in your car so I will find my own way there and if you have cast off and all I can see is your transom wandering off into the warmth of the Scottish evening - then stuff you matey
Stuff you
No more Mr Nice Guy :D

Oh dear, parted company eh? Sounds like the door flew open on the way round a corner. You should have bin wearing a seat belt, really.

Actually, webklutz and I hatched the plot of my e-abusing his site and as a result there has been oodles more traffic of late. Unlike when you stomped off and dint even tellem where you were going. Webby is down the landrover shop this very moment making a nuisance of himself asking for a test drive in a Landrover Popup.

You and your batman can have an aft cabin. This is an outside cabin but unlike your own boat I'm afraid it has no balcony.

Understood - no more Mr Nice Guy. Actually, I knew it would be a bit of a strain for you to try keeping that up for a whole day. Just relax and be yerself.

Hugs and Kisses
I'm in London tomorrow but there and back in the day so sadly no opportunity to take drink.
Anyway - we'd all rumbled what you and Webcringe were up to as he would have pulled he plug on you if you'd really been so disrespecful.
So I don't get to ride in the new car then but you let Jimi drive the old one first day out of its wrapper. I see where I stand....

Nonsense, you are just a backpedalling toerag. The extra traffic is mostly down to the weatherman and the bizarre Louise-related furore on SB that you missed because you were too full of rum to pay any attention.

Hasn't done any harm however and has at least exposed KevB and HLB in their true colours :)

I am minded to forgive you because I know that you just can't help yourself and I would like Claysie to be able to travel up here in the pile-cossetting comfort befitting his status. :peace:

Oh, but if u like I can let jimi find Para this time and they can both chat in Scottish in para's car, and meantime I will whizz up to pick you up from Forton or wherever. It's the least I can do now we've all heard from webby that you've got piles. You decide anyway.
