Spinnaker

Post by marisca »

You know that coloured thing that takes up space in your f'c'sle or attic that your crew hates and threatens to walk if you even think about it? Well, I desperately need one about 11.5m luff/leach x 7m foot. Happy to swap drinking vouchers for one ...... and think how happy your crew would be?

sorry, don't have anything to sell
In assume you've checked if Saturn/Owne have any second had ones, or Jeremy Rogers / Contessa forums.

I have been humbled by the number of leads from other sailors - I have a good feeling about at least a stop-gap until I can get one built..

There is a spinnaker on "Boats and Parts for Sale Scotland", a Facebook market place, 10.8m x 6.4m, Aberdeen, its way too expensive but maybe open to offers, appears new, probably too small.

Sorted! The CO32 diaspora down south have come up trumps and I now have a used CO32 spinnaker until the weavers of Harris craft me a new tweed yin. Thanks to all who came to Marisca's aid.

I like the idea of a woven Harris treed spinnaker. Very eco friendly, low transport miles, natural material and no concern if it falls into the water as it will bio degrade. might get a wee bit heavy on a damp day, but a real stand out from the usual white nylon floaty ones that seem to be in vogue

Ideal for a MAB - the smell when wet will mask the pong of diesel and mouldy cushions
