A correspondent tells me that Dunstaffnage has a new manager.
I believe his name is Jack Waldie, that he used to work for SAMS and drives/drove the hoist at Dunstaffnage.

I wish him luck. More enthusiasm, perhaps, if you had announced new ownership.

Ah, that might explain why my boat has been parked on the hard the opposite way round to every other year.
Re: New broom at Dunstaffnage
I got an email from Dunstaffnage yesterday:
"NEWS & UPDATES FROM DUNSTAFFNAGE MARINA
New Management & Directors
After 17 years Neil McLauchlan has now retired. Ewan Bell the owner and Chairman will be joined by his son Archie on the board of Directors and both will be taking a greater part in the operation of the Marina going forward along with myself, Twig Olsen and Mark Aitkenhead who have returned to oversee the day to day operations.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all back for the new season and hope that we can now all return to normality in this post covid year.
Twig Olsen | Manager"
It was my impression that McL was sacked or otherwise ousted along with his progeny. As for the rest, it's not all very bad news.
