15kg galvanised Spade Anchor, galvanised, clean with no rust.
This is 2018 used since but was taken out of service because our windlass stuggled to break it out, reliable anchor. sets immediately and never dragged in the time we used it, guaranteed sound nights sleep. The yellow paint was coming off the fluke so it was tidied up by overpainting that area with red special 'special metals' primer.
Jimmy Greens price is £540 so I will accept £270, collect Ardrishaig or can be dropped off elsewhere in Argyll.
A couple of buckets of 8 and 10 mm clean galv. chain, anyone interested I will measure the lengths.
Lots of other bits, mooring anchor, heavy chain and swivel, miscellaneous sail battens of varying length and stiffness, blocks, hydraulic crimper and rigging ferrules, rigging screws. I never threw anything out until now, let me know what you need and I will have a look.

Hi
If you have 20m of the 8mm chain I would be interested.
Regards
Donald

Re: 15kg Spade Anchor etc.
The 8mm chain measures only 14.2m. though there is a spare 8mm.Crosby C link some where if I can find it, I did find an 8mm ss. anchor swivel when I was looking, chain is clean and rust free though there are two paint markings on it, seems too good to scrap so £30 (will go to Marys Meals).
The 10 mm is a 11m.long, was briefly used as a mooring riser, is also rust free, £25 or £45 for the pair.

Do you have a batten inserting tool for sale. I have always used a bit of something flat to get the full length battens in and velcro strap down. However, the correct tool looks easy.
Also looking for blocks for spinnaker pole downhaul (41' LOA boat).

The 8mm length sounds perfect. I'll take the Crosby link if you have it too.
I'm at James Watt Dock furry boots are you?

Sorry Aja, I did a reply which seems never to have appeared so I will try again.
I am Joe Kerr, sometime pilot on the Crinan, I live in Ardrishaig beside Lock 3, email is joehkerr@hotmail.co.uk.
I am looking for the Crosby link, it is in the loft over our garage somewhere. If you never come this way I could leave the chain for you to collect in Glasgow, in my sons garden in Jordanhill but it may be a while before I am down that way. I presume you are not in a hurry,
Boots, the batten inserting tool went with the boat but it should be easy to make one from a surplus batten, I have plenty of those, the left over blocks are multiples and quite small, probably more suitable for a mainshhet fine tune tackle, a vang or a backstay tensioner.

Hi Joe
Thanks for the reply. Not sure when we'll next be up your way next, although hopefully before the boat goes in the water.
If your son is agreeable, that would be a plan to leave the chain and Crosby link with him. I'm often up in Glasgow.
I'm more than happy to pop the money in your account at any time, just let me know details.
Regards
Donald
