The old bulletin board here has been going for nearly a year and has not been heavily used - so why replace it with this snazzy new PHP/MySQL powered system?

Well, because I wanted to . . . but also because there seemed to be a few escapees from the YBW forums looking for somewhere they felt was less restricting. Try this.

In particular, use the Gear and Gadgets forum for full reviews or simple observations on stuff you've bought, used, broken or thrown away. No libel please, otherwise say it like it is. Authors of well-written, informative material may be approached with a view to publishing it in the main body of the site.
